How to attract extra money into your life today
Succeeding with money goals requires more than clipping coupons, skipping lattes, and cooking Crock Pot recipes. Just like not eating a pint of Ben & Jerry’s each night helps us lose weight, those things do help us achieve financial goals. But, we want to live bigger, better lives, don’t we? We don’t work 40 – 60 hours a week, deal with work traffic and fall asleep on the couch to get excited by another Bed Bath & Beyond coupon.
This week’s challenge is to figure out what it is you’re willing to do beyond penny-pinching to attract more money into your life to break down your financial blockers and achieve all the hopes and dreams you said last week you want.
How we attract money into our lives every day
I saw or heard a quote somewhere – I need to get better at writing them down – that went something like, “Our thoughts create our feelings. Our feelings create our actions. Our actions create our results.” Therefore, these three exercises, including this week’s about how to attract more money, are so important. They help us get inside our thoughts to change our feelings and actions that created today’s results.
If we’re going to change our current reality, we must first change our actions. So, what are you willing to do to attract more money into your life? Get the free Fabulous Life Combo + more at the link below.
But what about your real gay life?
What are you thinking?
Episode #43 of the Queer Money® podcast is the second of a two-part series on which we answered Dale’s question about how to get his partner on the same page with him about money and how to encourage his partner to tackle is $16,000 in credit card debt.
What most fascinated us listening to this episode five years later was our quote of Liza Minnelli in which she said, “reality is something you rise above.” Whether it was her intention or not, Liza is indirectly saying that reality (as we see it) is only as real as we let it be.
This takes us down the quantum physics rabbit hole. YouTube “double-slit experiment”.
In the 17th century, Isaac Newton showed that light is made of particles. This was the popular belief until English physicist, Thomas Young, came along in 1801 with his easily replicated double-slit experiment that showed light (and eventually matter) can exhibit both particle and wave-like properties.
How can something be both a particle and a wave? What makes this even more confusing is that whether light or matter exhibits particle or wave-like properties is often contingent on if they’re being observed. This suggests that if a tree falls down in a forest and there’s no one to hear it that there’s a possibility that it doesn’t make a sound.
Further down the rabbit hole is quantum entanglement. Quantum entanglement has shown that two particles can affect each other up to 745 miles apart. We’ll likely find out someday that they can.
This begs the question, what is reality? Anais Nin said, “We don’t see things as they are. We see them as we are.”
Some of the emails and social media comments we’ve gotten from gay men include, “I’m not good enough,” “money’s evil,” and “life’s hard.” Is this the reality we’re creating for ourselves?
Our thoughts create feelings, feelings create actions, actions create results.
Everything starts as a thought, including your reality. This is exciting because if Liza’s words are true, and it sees Anais Nin and quantum physics suggest they may just be true, we can rise above our reality to create a new one.
Indeed, as Napoleon Hill said, “Truly, ‘thoughts are things,’ and powerful things at that, when they are mixed with definiteness of purpose, persistence, and a burning desire for their translation into riches, or other material objects.”
This is why we’re passionate about helping to create a greater collective of enlightened gay men. Our pursuit of enlightenment and happiness will create a better world both for ourselves as gay men and the rest of the world.
