Our Money Master this week is The Lazy Man at The Lazy Man and Money. The Lazy Man writes a lot about personal finance and money management. We makes his site unique is his passion for writing about multi-level marketing, which he’ll expand on below.
Some of our recent favorite posts on The Lazy Man and Money include, “The Seven Persuasion Tools of Scammers”, which we included in a recent #MoneyConscious Mash Up, “The Value of Free Electricity” and “Saving Money with Nests Thermostats”.
Despite the name, The Lazy Man isn’t about being lazy. He’s about working smart. Working smart affords one more opportunities to play and relax. Not working smart and a lot often affords one a life of unhappiness and stress. We’ll take the former!
See what The Lazy Man has to say below. We’re sure you’ll find his take intriguing.
1. What’s your story?
The question is so open-ended, and the answer is so long, the best response is to go read the Lazy Man and Money “About” Page.
2. What’s your point of view, as a personal finance blogger?
Optimize, optimize, optimize. There are people who are super frugal and others who focus on investing. I say do both and you’ll get to financial independence a lot faster.
3. In one sentence, what’s one piece of sage advice from your personal finance background that you’d like to share with our readers?
Stay away from anything that looks like a multi-level marketing (MLM) “business opportunity.” This includes other terms they use to hide the scams such as network marketing, direct selling, community commerce, etc. If anyone details a “system” where you make money recruiting people, get out of there.
Check out The Lazy Man and Money. It’s a great resource for personal finance management. Sign up for his newsletter and his email subscription. We find each visit worth it and know you will, too.
